Yep, it's kinda like Cheers in here...like it's full of old friends who know and like each other and don't pretend or posture. We are just a bunch of plain honest folks who know who and what we are, and aren't trying to be something else.

well, I was going to walk away from fabo because I am no longer working on my project cars.

I was running a $600. a month project car budget but all of it is GONE now.

still needs to close, but looks like I own a lot of dirt now .....I mean a lot of dirt!!!

It's ok, I will get the balance down and maybe re-finance 5 years from now and start working towards the goal of getting my cars out of the elements and into an indoor promise land

now I need to unload some parts and worse case, a few cars.

I have to be disciplined ....because I already know what is going to happen.

I will be sitting here with the coffee crew and BAM ....a really rare part that I want will pop up.

It is actually scary if I added up how much money I have spent within this site over the years and I regret nothing

This place is such a gold mine if you are looking for parts to fix your car.

When I first discovered the site, back in 2011 when I first got my green 69 dart. I wanted to clone into a GTS because it was born a dart custom.

within the first 2 months of being on this site, I found and bought the GTS tail panel, inner door emblems, hood inserts and the bucket seats. Then I ordered a new AMD hood for the inserts and .......instant GTS LOL

Since then it's been like the only site I visit. It's even my homepage.

now I go on facebook every once in awhile but even on facebook, I was only adding FABO people and keeping it all about cars, and no personal drama.

FABO really is great. Even tried FBBO but that didn't work out so good.

Well, for some perspective, I sold all of my Mopars 30 years ago to go into Science at DuPont Engineering. I let go a fully race ready roll cage '71 Duster body, a '70 Duster 340, a '70 Super Bee 440 (August '69 build) and my beloved '69 Dart GT with the 340 speed I built from the ground up.

I never regretted my decision to move my life forward, but I also never gave up my love of Mopar. 30 years later, here I am with a nice '69 Dart GTS and loving being back again amongst folks that share the passion.

You can have other priorities without losing the passion. Don't try to wipe the slate clean, you can't. It's a part of who you are, despite being displaced by other more important priorities.

And besides, you have friends here that would miss you terribly if you were gone. The cars can wait for later...but don't make your friends do the same. ;)

If you have to sell some, try to hang on to one or two favorites. Then when you get back on your feet, you can start collecting again....

so far it's looking like I don't have to sell any cars because parents helping front a portion of the down payment, but I wont have a red cent to work on any of them for at least 2 years which is so worth it.

It's like I need to cryogenically freeze my cars

RustyRatRod has been working on his project for how long. Ramenth has projects sitting. We all have a story to tell.
I've had my cuda 15 years. Only real reason I'm working on it now is to get it of the lift and out of the city up to the garage at my house 24x45 that my wife had built for me like 6 years ago. and get the lift to hops. Even then the car maybe going to another member here to finish for me.

Only because I just can't stay focused anymore. But that's another story.

Point is, you are to involved in cars. By your own admission made a lot of friends. Helped a lot of people here. More then I ever could. I'm only here as comic relief. And lately not much good at that.
