Good choice. 3.91 is my choice behind the 340 and 4 speed. That project is still a ways down the road tho..

yea, the 3.73's will wake 'er up some and still give you decent gas mileage - as if that's actually a concern...

Yeah, the 3.91 Sure-Grip is factory on my car. Hard to believe a nice little housewife in Baton Rouge LA ordered it that way from the factory in 1968. I think she had a little Rebel Yell in her soul. She ordered it stripe delete though in order to "maintain appearances befitting her social status".
I actually have the original notes on the Dealer order form that came with the car when I bought it.

Yeah I actually have a lot of history on this car. It has 72k original miles on it and it's only partially restored by the last (3rd) owner. I just wish he hadn't pulled the original 340 and dropped the 360 magnum MP crate in it. It was a crappy install job too. Took me 4 months to put it right after I got it.
The magnum is nice enough, but I think I'd rather have it with the original 340. Maybe sometime down the road I'll grab a date correct 340 and swap it out...maybe.
