Stop in for a cup of coffee

Or did the beer get you dreaming, Rick?

Not the beer (or whisky as the case may be) that got me going. Crackedback got a 73 dart sport roller for sale. Looks like a great platform. I got a 73 swinger i can rob some parts from to make a solid ride. Just waiting for Rob to get back with me... then ridiculous road trip time!

I saw that thread, if I was closer i would consider it as well. Hope it works out for you.. Oh and if you dont want the dual snorkel hood scoop put me in line.

I hope so too. Even if i don't do squat to it for a year... and if the scoop is in good shape, I'll keep it on there (even if it's just gonna be feeding a slant)... if it's jacked up, you're welcome to it. Nice guy huh?

Ddaddy got me dreaming...

that is what I was considering making but after looking at the condition of the dart sport front end that I got for free......I think I will be staying with the duster front end. :???:

so we will have cousin cars

my 75 duster will be B1 Baby blue with body color cop wheels

like this .....except the 75 type stripe and the flat hood

Karl, whats up with the pictures.. I think I missed a back story

That's what was going on at my house this AM....

Kid woke me up said that our power was out... I go check the meter to make sure that they didn't disconnect me... That was ok...

then walking back up from the meter, I see an unmarked police car come up the street and stop in front of the neighbor's... Then a fire truck pulls up... They talk...

I ask, "what's going on?" :dontknow:

They ask, "Did you report a power line down and the power out?"

I said, "My power is out, but I haven't reported it yet."

So the nice police men and fire men and I walk to the back yard and spot some smoke coming from the ground and see the line down....

Then they tell me that we can't go in the back half of our yard because the electricity can travel through the ground and still get you, and then taped it off with yellow caution tape...

Then I reported it to Edison, and the truck was here within about 10 minutes after my call... (The fire dept also had called twice before me.).. Officer Campbell asked me to call also, as it gets more priority if more people call in along with the local authorities...

Just after hanging up from Edison, the lights come on... We hear a pulsing buzz and look out back and there is a huge orange ball glowing at the end of the downed line... We ran to get our cameras, but by the time I was ready, the fuse blew a street over and shut off the power.

I also heard on the police radios that there was another pole with a fire one town over from us...

THAT is a great looking car!

so any of you know what is the deal on strut rods

I was digging through a pile of strut rods trying to make a pair and I noticed that one has coarse threads on the front where it goes through the K-frame.....and most have a fine thread.

what is up with that ??

I am thinking they changed over the years and majority of my stuff is 68-72 so I presume the fine threaded ones are in the era but the coarse thread .....I have no idear

I think the older (before say 64) had coarse threads on the front. Mopar found out that the coarse threads loosen easier than the fine, which is also the reason that they pinned the later ones.

have to admit I have never had the opportunity to examine or notice.. are all the ones you have A-body stuff?

THAT is a great looking car!

the only other color I would do other than the B1 Blue is this ......I like the 73/4 grille better though ....but I wouldnt use that scoop on the later front end .....just a flat hood. The scoop makes it look too busy for me.

absolutely A-body stuff ...all my loose parts are A-body because everything I have E or B-body are on the cars, and I don't have anything else. :???:
