Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hi Guys!

Got the paintings picked up from the other house (and a few other remaining odds and ends) and returned the cargo van. It was hard getting the paintings loaded in a way to best protect them since they are so large, but we got it figured out.

Here is the other painting that I didn't have a pic of last night. It's called "Austerity" and it's 5'x8'.

That is some real talent there.
Question. If you know about it. Are you going to the Whiskey Convention at Citizens Park on the 25th?

I have some Redd Foxx 45s. laugh of the party from my dad.
Still like some of ray Stevens work. Ballad of the Blue Cyclone The haircut Song among others.

I was too young to listen to Redd Foxx, but I hear it was funny and dirty...

Well it's lose an hour sleep night. And I'm fighting some kind of cold. See you all in the morning.

Your mother has some talent. nice

Thanks, it's actually my mother-in-law. Funny thing is that she was my Art teacher from grade 6-8 long before I started dating her daughter. My wife is also a very good artist too and we both went to the same Art School after High School. Here is one of her pencil renderings. It's 16"x20".

I didn't know about it until you posted it earlier today. It's right by work so I will have to check my schedule and see if I can make it. I may have to be in Kansas City that week at one of our manufacturing sites.

Are you thinking of going?

so it seems Lucas brand oil stabilizer is a good oil for a manual steering gear box.

Its runny enough to be like oil but thick enough to stick to everything and it doesn't leak out of the bad seal because it's too fat to fit through where the old oil seeped through.

Plus it has better resistance to viscosity breakdown so the exhaust manifold sitting right by the gear box is no match for the oil's thermo resistance.

It looks like honey coming out of the bottle and is so pretty ....but at 10 dollars a bottle...I better be entertained damn it!!!

It doesn't quite have the sweet aroma as 90 weight but just enough.....kinda like eating something with only black pepper and not the strong spices......except you don't eat it!!

Oil of all kinds are so beautiful ......all way from grease to petroleum used in a fuel capacity.

Makes sense. Back in the 80s we used to use STP oil treatment for the same purpose. Kinda the same stuff.

I guess you are getting your moneys worth, cause now we are entertained too!

Speaking of purdy oil...When I worked in cold storage we had some nice blue low temp hydraulic fluid for the forklifts.

Speaking of oil. I am enjoying a Weyerbacher Tiny, Imperial Stout.
Kinda looks like used motor oil. And at 11.8 ABV, it does have some lubricating properties.

My Dad worked for Sun Oil Company (Sunoco) for over 30 years. He was Senior VP of Specialty Chemicals when he left to found his Biotech Company.

I've seen more kinds of oils, grease and other petroleum products than I can ever count. I used to watch them being made in the labs and eventually in the massive refinery equipment. Our Family's 1966 Chevy Impala 327 Station Wagon was even recruited as one of the original test vehicles for unleaded gas.

Petroleum products are fascinating stuff. :)

I been studying. Seems even the doors (sans glass) from my 73 swinger will fit the sport. I'm in business. Looks like i have most of the parts to make new girl sexy..

Well, that's good news. But you need to make a correction.

Your new girl is already sexy, you just need to dress her up a bit. :D
