Well looks like the springs and accelerator pump nozzles will be here tomorrow! Should make a big difference having the carb dialed in I hope.
I am sure we all have some what is it stuff around. It would make a great thread.

What did I do now? It all comes so naturally lately.
It is eye tearing rich at idle and has a bog when I step on it. Pulled the rods and they need to be thinned out along with the jets. Of course one of the springs fell hit the windage tray and then into no find land.

I am sure Karl has the answers for you. I have had afb's for a long time so I am comfortable with them. Pretty easy to tune also once you figure out what needs to be done.
