Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
not to change the subject

but has anyone ever thought about how the roles in your life change?

my grandfather was the king of breakfast, people would literally stop by and ask him to come cook breakfast for thier events. Pancakes like no one else makes, bacon perfectly fried, gravy to die for.

Now that i have kids, it seems to have fallen to me. I apparently learned something from him, my wife is having a family sleep over with our nieces and nephews and guess who gets to make breakfast.
When Luke was younger, (my youngest) he often had sleep overs with half a dozen guys. I always put together breakfast for the boys. They liked pancakes and waffles but I would cook a couple packages of bacon, hash browns and scrambled eggs. Sometimes a breakfast casserole too.

Hey Mitch.. One of our customer's secretary has a first name starts with N and her last name starts with a P. I smile every time I see her initials on a delivery ticket!!!

Do you say to him, "LUKE, I'M YOUR FATHER..."

so weird - we were talking about lifes track today at work - - one of the guys said he wished he had realized that his 20's and 30's were going to be the best days of his life and had paid more attention and savored the memories.. I was saying that I think "we" live life thinking, and hoping, that tomorrow will be better than today and that that is what keeps us going, so I expect that I still have better days ahead of me. It's interesting how different perspectives and current situations can really affect ones outlook on the past and the future...
I still say every day is better than the next. So each day you see me is the worst day of my life...

I want to die in my sleep, like my grandfather...

Not screaming and yelling, like the passengers in his car....

I have a picture of myself, when I was younger...

Hello McFly ---> Every picture of myself was when I was younger than I am today....
