Stop in for a cup of coffee

Speaking of HUGE....

Corn season is peaking... The corn is about 9 - 9 1/2" long and nice and fat... I can only get 6 in my 10" pot at one time, so I have split it to make enough...

I was just sitting in my car, stareing into space.

The car doesn't even run .....or have wheels on it but it is such a fun car ....

Makes me think the car will be epic when it does finally run.....and have wheels on it

Which car is this you speak of???

72 demon. I have 2 of them so it would be the first one that i have had for awhile.

I've been wiring the 71 Valiant... Almost there, but we bought a heater only inner dash harness and we have an A/C car... Now I have to figure out the differences and make it match the engine compartment wiring.

The brown/yellow wire for the NSS switch is switched with the horn wiring in the wiring diagrams compared to how the car was originally wired, plus trying to adapt the A/C wire harness to the heater only wiring harness and bulkhead is taking a little more time to figure out...

And we will have dual horns...

The factory hi/low off of the steering wheel, and then a set of dixie horns run off a separate button on the lower dash... (If we can get the steering wheel horn to work..)

Good to know that i am not the only one planning Dixie horns

We put one on when he first got the car... It wouldn't play dixie, but some variation of la cucharacha...

Then it played dixie 3 times and quit a week later....

Wellllll....

Digging into the wiring, I found that the main power wire for the horns had rubbed through the insulation and had some exposed copper wire that was probably shorting against the body... So I put 2 - 3 layers of shrink wrap around the exposed area and continuity tested it and it worked (the fuse wasn't blown). We are going to try the old horn with the new and improved wiring to see if it was just that short that made it quit... I plan on using some convoluted tubing to protect it this time when I'm done wiring it so it doesn't short against the body again...

Then if that doesn't work, we can put the new horn compressor or relay on until it works...

Actualy my friend had a charger and i was thinking there was more room between the grille and radiator like my coronet ....there is probably a foot and a half of empty space in there.

But a valiant is going to be the same grille as my duster and those fenders are awfully short and there isn't much room between the grille and radiatior is there :BangHead:

Those dang o grasshoppers are a pain.

We are having a population explosion here and plants are destroyed everywhere by them.

There are so many around that i was in bed and i felt something crawling on my side..
.

I have no idea how that dang o grasshopper even made it into the house.

You need to keep them dry. The instructions say to have the ends of the horns pointing slightly downward at a minimum to keep any water/condensation out of the head and allow it to drain out the horn....

I like to put them on the flat part of the inner fender so they don't get any splash from the tires/suspension...

If you put them in the grille, how are you going to keep the rain and splash from getting into them???

Smelled it and followed you in from the garage.... :p

And if you are a true gearhead, by perfume I mean: Parts cleaner, primer, paint, trans fluid, gear lube, ps fluid, oil, etc...

You know, i think in an going to stop talking mopar with anyone who uses the word "sell" in any sentence to me.

Ok, so i admit that i am a bit of a hoarder , but i worked for each car i have and if i was in the flipping business i would on ebay right now and not here.

Sheeeesh i dont know what it is with people.
I tell people what is in my collection to be friendly and talk mopar and all i get is " you should sell some to fund others "

I dont remember asking for project funding advice .

Rant over....dont mean to rant but geez oh man. From now on, when someone asks " how many cars do you have "

I have two .....that is it, nothing to see here
