Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey I am having a heck of a time getting the axel off of the 7 1/4 I even pounded out the flange studs think the bearing is rusted to the case I cannot see in there. Ever run into that?

Good morning folks. I have 5 vehicles (in addition to my work truck and wifes car) in various states of restore, and still want one more. I aint selling any of them. .

I have been nailing the backing plate with a #10 and even tried a chisle to push the end of the axel out of the spider gears against the cross shaft nothing. Just wanted the 2.93 gears! Oh well.

Never run into an axle that stubborn. The backwards brake drum trick has always worked for me...

PB blaster ??

PB blathered it beat on it talked nice to it never had this one before the other side came out normal.

I believe a little /6 pickup will be the last one on the to do list..
I have two prospects for that. I know of a 64 step side with a slant
And i know of a 74 shorty pick up.

I am just not so much into old trucks enough to convince myself that i need either one.
