Stop in for a cup of coffee

I already have the inner wheel well on now I am ready to put the quarter panel on

I have a Hobart Handler 210 with gas. I have welded panels on before but this is the first quarter panel

no gas mig
Just clean up the area really well to get all the rosin/flash off after doing the weld. I used denatured alcohol but windex will get the rosin off also pretty well. ( I use .025 wire .035 seems to want to burn through to fast).
Then just prime both sides you will be good.

Let me correct myself. It is not a full quarter but from the top of the fender down. The state truck did a job on it when it backed into it.

I have cleekos

I have some, the air force used to toss them after so many uses. Tike you going to but weld it or overlap it?

I also have the flange tool. I have it fitted on and looks good so far. I just keep worrying about the clean metal where it will be welded.

Same as what I did. Line it up really well get your bud over, I clamped the lower to the trunk extension then lined up the rest. Cleekoes are you best friend for this job unless you are but welding it.
