You should be good just "skip" the welds so the panel does not warp from the heat.
years ago I used self tapping sheet metal screws to hold everything in place - then I was at a swap meet and discovered the clecos... well I'll be a skunned skunk... LOLI have some, the air force used to toss them after so many uses. Tike you going to but weld it or overlap it?
You are making me hungryskunned skunk... LOL
That makes senseeven with the weld thru primer I still clean off the actual weld line with a scratch brush after I tack it in place. Just so the overlapped areas that you can't get at later are covered. You can weld through it, but I think you get a cleaner weld if the arc sees clean metal.
Never did a full/large panel. Usually use magnets.years ago I used self tapping sheet metal screws to hold everything in place - then I was at a swap meet and discovered the clecos... well I'll be a skunned skunk... LOL
daahh... nooooo.... I thought memike was off the too far to the left with squirrel stew....You are making me hungry
magnets are good for smaller jobs but can(and probably will) slip at just the wrong moment with a bigger jobNever did a full/large panel. Usually use magnets.
