I feel horrible that i let you down! I'll try not to let it happen again. I might have huffed too many bits of metal shavings earlier.. yuck..
It's all good.
Yeh, the old metal dust in the brain will do it to you. (try stainless for a special treat) lol. That combined with real work on car stuff, I can see why you were off a little. Just looking to keep to the standards around here.

So before I left West Virginia, I bought 5 new trailer tires. Had them put on, the spare on the spare tire holder..... Then comes 32 degree weather and Ice. Pull into truckstop in Texas, had a blow out! CRAP!! So, I pull out to the back to change it, no problem, right? NO!! the dumb *** at the tire store tightened the lugs so Fing tight I could not get them loose with the lug wrench I had!!!!! No problem, tire shop at the truck stop should help, right? Wrong!!! The wrong kind of tire!! NOT on a "Semi" So I ask where can I get a breaker bar and a 3/4 inch socket? No clue!! It is real cold for a So Cal boy, so I go into the truck stop looking for the tire guy, and end up talking to the cashier. Her son in law has a road service and she gave me his number. No answer. She goes out to get her phone and calls him. He comes out to truck stop. He gets the lugs loose, threads are striped by having them over torqued. Had to change all five wheel studs!! Well I knew all the wheels were put on by the same guy, so I could be in trouble later if I get a repeat problem. On goes the spare. All is good. .... I will post more in a few minutes.
sounds like a visit from Murphy... you got through it though
