Nice photo!Snow. Gee. Hope it wasn't too wet and sloppy. Sometimes driving in snow is better than driving in the rain. At least I think so, easier to see and as long as I was ahead of the salt trucks or someplace they didn't use 'em. (yea. that's rare now).
Well maybe we'll finally get a frost here and get some colors.
May the rest of your trip be dry.

Don't plan to run my current Duster in the snow, but certainly drove these cars in it plenty back in the 80's. Never forget one storm we had. Lots of light fluffy snow. Roads were drifting bad. Don't recall why but I had my Dad's Duster that day. I think he went into work with someone else and I ended up picking up him and a couple co-workers. I was crashing through drifts at least up to the front of the hood on the way back. I knew they were fluff cause I had just come through the road less than an hour before...Wow, thats a lot of snow.i would be concerned driving with tose tires, yet more concerned about the other drivers that forget how to drive when the first snowflake hits.
Last thursday there were collisions on almost every bridge in winnipeg.

Being judged solely on my Richard Gere-esque good looks again! (not that I disagree with her tho)..My daughter just cracked me up. She was talking about you guys and then totally straight faced she said "I bet that Rick guy was a 'player' when he was in High School and college.
LOL!
She only saw him for a few minutes and had him pegged. Not much gets by her...
Good evening Mr GereBeing judged solely on my Richard Gere-esque good looks again! (not that I disagree with her tho)..

We call it "knot" or "knot timbering" when the logs are joined together like that. Actually, the corner of any house is the knot to this day.The cornering method in the photos we call "Dovetailing", regardless of whether it is full dovetail or half dovetail (bottom cut square, top cut angled).
Well played, Scampy!Nope! We kept it a secret all along. He had a plane ticket booked long before anyone knew it. Nobody was told he was coming until they got here...and even then it was only a few minutes before he showed up!![]()

it wasn't easy keeping the secret (there's an understatement!) - with the way these guys kept hammering at me about it and me knowing I was going, I guess several of my replies were less than convincing - but it was funWell played, Scampy!

fixed itYou guys had a dizzy weekend.

I did consider it - but did some research and found a flight and a car for a decent price - once I weighed in the "ugh" factor of driving there and back in two days (I figured my condition might be less than optimal for driving any real distance on Sunday) - it seemed to be a no brainer to flyWait a dang second..... I thought he was driving?!?
