Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have a question of a serious nature.

Do the muffler bearings go on the intake or exhaust end or the muffler?

Well that's a big help.
Also do I have to press them in.
I still can't swing a hammer well with my right shoulder.
And I don't own a left handed hammer.
I think they are pinned it, but you can only use left-handed pins with a right-hand twist. You need a horizontal pin press with vertical actuation. They always are installed before the muffler so that the exhaust spins correctly into the muffler.

Thanks. i see i wont get a serious response here so i posted in the general forums.

Now considering this, those muffler bearings need to be adjusted with a left handed shifting spanner.and little be known but some mufflers are ambidextrous...

Thanks again. These came with the mufflers. They are for a 96 Prius.
In that case, you need to make sure the electrical phasing on the bearings is adjusted to the correct setting. If it is off spec, the electric motors might stutter in reverse when the gas engine starts leading to electrical discharge during the braking cycle. A big problem when braking in the rain since the motors can arc to the ground and prematurely wear the tires and loosen the lug nuts.

Oops, my bad...the lug nuts loosen on the Volt. They over-torque on the Prius and crack the studs.

Just got home. Glad to be back home and to normal internet. Mother-in-law gave us a couple coolers of beef. Corn fed black angus. Lots of steaks and roasts. 20+ pounds of hamburger too. I told her tjat could be my Christmas
