I figured you couldn't let them slip through your fingers. Great deal!
yesI have a question of a serious nature.
Do the muffler bearings go on the intake or exhaust end or the muffler?
I think they are pinned it, but you can only use left-handed pins with a right-hand twist. You need a horizontal pin press with vertical actuation. They always are installed before the muffler so that the exhaust spins correctly into the muffler.Well that's a big help.
Also do I have to press them in.
I still can't swing a hammer well with my right shoulder.
And I don't own a left handed hammer.
Right handed if they are resonator bearings. Always want the exhaust to exit the car straight. Otherwise, the rear alignment will be off.Now considering this, those muffler bearings need to be adjusted with a left handed shifting spanner.
In that case, you need to make sure the electrical phasing on the bearings is adjusted to the correct setting. If it is off spec, the electric motors might stutter in reverse when the gas engine starts leading to electrical discharge during the braking cycle. A big problem when braking in the rain since the motors can arc to the ground and prematurely wear the tires and loosen the lug nuts. Thanks again. These came with the mufflers. They are for a 96 Prius.
Posted a how to video in your other thread...Thanks again. These came with the mufflers. They are for a 96 Prius.
Oops, my bad...the lug nuts loosen on the Volt. They over-torque on the Prius and crack the studs. In that case, you need to make sure the electrical phasing on the bearings is adjusted to the correct setting. Ain't much worse than a cracked stud.Oops, my bad...the lug nuts loosen on the Volt. They over-torque on the Prius and crack the studs.

Greatly appreciated!Posted a how to video in your other thread...
As long as it won't cause busted nuts, I'm good.Ain't much worse than a cracked stud.![]()
You're looking to buy it? In Sweden?I think that guy is flaking out on selling it now... I've called him twice and he doesn't answer or call back...
They'll be 50 Hz, then. You're in a world of trouble. Thanks again. These came with the mufflers. They are for a 96 Prius.
