or was the '440' a sub-model of the Polara. Like the Duster IS a Valiantinteresting. According to that link..... its not a polara but a 440. Yet the title says DOD POLARA 440

Push button was standard...I know its at least a 440 trim package with the pushbutton 727. the base model didnt get a pushbutton trans. nor the underdash heater, which came on 440 trim cars.

Never seen those years with a column shift. My 65 Newport was a column shift 727 tho...A 440 car.hmmm weird. I dont know.
ive got an original 1964 polara/440/880 brochure and it says that the standard transmission is the A904 Column shifted trans with an optional "Heavy Duty Torqueflite Pushbutton."

Hmm. gonna have to pull that brochure out. Man, I'd kill to find a 64 sport fury 383/4spd carConsole shift was the option, my 64 sport fury had that.
