Its pretty damn accurate. The odds of finding the same DNA profile as yours in the general population are 1 in 930,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Knowing this, how do they get DNA wrong? Has it gotten more accurate over the years? Meaning able to isolate a peculiar person just by there "left behind" DNA. Like at a crime scene. Ability to collect a clean sample.

DNA testing is far more accurate today than it was in the past. They look at far greater numbers of sequences now.

That is good. I tell my wife this too often. She gets wrapped up in stories that just don't concern us. She will start reciting details and I will flat out tell her 'I don't care' . Sorry, but most of what the media makes into big news is background noise to me.
That said I am not oblivious to what is going on either. The Stephen Hawking story is currently on the front page, breaking news etc of probably every news/media...
So, in other COFFEE thread related discussions, I was going over the wiring harness I made and I think I know the problem. I wired it backwards 
I had the positive coming out of the ballast resistor going to the negative side of the coil instead of the positive. Which means it probably wasn't charging the distributor with enough juice to make the spark. Gonna have to switch those leads and see what happens.
