I Googled that space station. Experts won't know for sure when it will enter the atmosphere until just before it happens. Bits of it would probably be spread for 200 miles. Could be anywhere from Montana to Tasmania or the corresponding land masses on the other side of the globe or the vast amount of oceans between. Most of it will disintegrate on re-entry. Only about 10 tons worth of it. How much can that hurt?

Being that Chinese steel likes to vaporize when you weld and build with it, I would have to believe is was built from imported US metals and would probably survive re-entry.

Installing a new connector yesterday on my '67 I noticed the female terminals are not Packard 56.

You can tell by the crimp some one changed them at some point.

That's the back of the bulkhead. Hows a factory crimp look different?
I pulled a couple of terminals out of the original engine side harness - looks the same to me.

Look at the pic of the red wire the crimp is not symmetrical one side is down farther. What are they for?

Could have been when I pulled it.
Red is battery to ammeter. lt green is for cars with fender turn signal - not used.
I was just checking for to see tehy were clean as I had the connector off.

Funny you me ntion that though. On the repop harness (from YearOne about 20 years ago) the start terminal crimp looked correct but the run/voltage reg terminal was stacked.

Been driving too long with the busted connector tab. It made it to the top of the to do list yesterday. Unfortunately the replacement didn't have a new foam seal it. Will call around to see if Evans or someone sells them. Looks and feels like soft styrofoam

They are a PIA to crimp right even with the right tool. Best thing I bought when I re did my engine harness.
