Stop in for a cup of coffee

:eek::eek::eek:

Enjoy, -no sun for us today. Cold misty rain. Forcast shows 37F till it gets even darker than it already is. Yuk. I would rather it be 10 degrees colder and snowing...

But coffee is good View attachment 1715262562View attachment 1715262563 Good Morning
Rain is holding off here til midday.
Neighbor called. Asked if I can walk their dog. That s more like run their dog or at least walk fast. Wasnt in my plans but cant say no when I can do it. They've had some health issues big time.

I'll be back later.

Mine will need to go out again around noon. Can you be here by then?

Is that added so the Mothership can track you? :realcrazy:

Can you find the code anywhere??? Look in the owner's manual and all around the glove box, or console....

If not, do a google search... With my son's Jetta, there are only a few codes and you just try them until it works...

Do a little googling to see if you can do it yourself and have it done now for free vs wait for an appt and pay for it...

The code is a safety code in case someone steals the factory radio. People still do that?? I googled the hell out of it. So many codes out there and you get 2 chances then need to leave the radio on for an hour before trying again. What a PIA!

Anyway, good morning, happy Sunday, Crew

Probly more $/hr in catalytic converters

THey are higher on the Mopar pecking order. You want to feel like you don't belong, hang out with the E body guys. LOL
I have a few friends that are E body owners and they are cool.
Hey I resemble that remark... I had a real nice RR and I still have a Cuda........:poke::poke:

But the dealer want $65 to plug in to get it. It is killing me that the dealer charges for a up to a 15 year old car. Nobody is stealing those anymore...Mine is a 2011 I bought new. I hope they can talk to the radio and not just the PCM as I told them it isnt the factory radio...they want $800 for a radio and want the old one. BS....so they can fix mine for a $1 and resell...Grrr. I took mine all apart and throughly looked at the circuit board for anything looking burnt. Didnt see anything obvious.

And nothing hiding on Google for the procedure?

I have yet to find anyone talking about the fix. I did find the fix for the circuit board on the IDM for my Super Duty. Simple change of a resistor, starts better and better throttle response too. 50 cents worth of resisters and some time sure beats the $400 for an aftermarket performance IDM

The factory scanner on vw is a 400 module to plug in to OBD connector, laptop and free software.
Check with specialty vw shops.

Member cudajunction has passed away. His wife may be logging in here with it soon to get some help with parts and the like

Bout time to head out and do some shopping. Need air filter for the house. Probably a little Chrismas shopping. Damn mizzerable weather though. Dog hasn't even asked to go out again. @Mattax , if you stop by, help yourself to beer and cookies. :poke:

Pretty nasty weather here, also. But my Son is supposed to be coming, to take me out today. Wants me to take him to Arlington National Cemetery, to visit his Grandparents, then take me to his Favorite Mexican Eatery in Northern Virginia.:thumbsup:

Windy And cooling off. Finish welding panel on and work out the waves. Should be a good day.

Rain is still holding off here. Not bad out as long as you're moving (and keeping the feet dry).

I thought I was going to be able to open the Simpson meter using a thinner wall socket from my craftsman set, which was over in my jeep - only a few blocks away. But was foiled again.

The 7/32 is correct, but the wall is too thick. Needs a special tool to fix the special tool.
So now its taking up space on the bench here until I go to the other garage and grind down a socket.:BangHead:

nutdriver?

nutdriver?
None here at the house will fit.
I really do think they made that well extra tight to make it less likely an 'unauthorized' person couldnt service it.
Bench grinder and the right angle grinders are all in south philly. I'll drive down there tommorrow.

Simpson still has repair centers, so if the mechanism itself is busted, that's an option.
I'm hoping once the glass is in place, it will be free to work.
