Dry here Thursday. Tomorrow is iffy. Friday thru Monday they seem to be pretty convinced we get wet.

Drew up a little graph comparing output of the Wagoneer's alternator that I measured to the performance chart that was in the box when I bought it. Even if my estimate on the pulley diameters or anything else is a bit off its still wayyyyyy underperforming.
Circles are where the output current should have been.

FWIW.
The current draw for lights on battery power (12 to 12.5 V) is 13.1 to 13.6 amps.
That's a pair of HB2/H4 headlamps on low, 4 side marker lamps, 2 tail and 2 parking lamps, and 5 bulbs illuminating the instruments.

Looks like we dodged the snow bullet here. It snowed like mad for a few hours after sunset, but the ground was too warm for it to stick anywhere but the grass.

The precipitation has stopped now and only a light glaze of ice on the walks, but not the driveway. A bit of salt and they are clear now. Single digits coming tomorrow night and I want to be sure all the stuff is gone before it gets too cold for the salt to work.

I’m glad we aren’t getting anywhere near the cold some of you are, but it is still going to be a brutal few days with what cold we will get. -20 windchills is cold enough to be miserable.

Just plain cold, I put in dog doors so I don't have to be the hounds personal door man anymore. Haven't got a raccoon in yet! By same token the dog door is large enough a small nefarious burglar could likely squeeze in. But nothing says I dare ya like the baritone of a large hound. Kind of like a big block firing up, just has a distinct primal woof to it!
