Barracuda is in shop.
Something i noticed, dude’s home built frame connectors are bolted to the floor. Curious as to why. Now one on each side is in middle of rear floor,as well as the front. I have to cut them off.
Just more work.

Another discovery.
The brace in front of the rad has been cut. Brackets welded on and bolted back together. Wtf?
Chain too long on his cherry picker? To aid with removing/installing engine?

Isn't that a VIN stamp spot?
Dont know. It was sawed off. Going to get a closer look tomorrow.

Not on that year Barracuda, there weren’t any body VIN stamps in those years.

Nope. Its straight. Its a clean cut. Guessing it was sn engine removal issue.Then maybe someone being lazy. Or they dropped motor and fubarred it.
I wish. I havent even scratched the surface when it comes to the hours needed to make this a car again.

Check the lower rad support for any signs of damage. Sometimes the upper cross support was cut after a collision as part of the repair. These cars were well known for nose diving in a rear ender into another car or object which mostly damaged the upper part of the radiator support. The lower usually shows some sort of sign of distortion from the collision if that was the case.

There is evidence of a crunch. Im thinking right fender was replaced early in its life. The cowl has a few wrinkles in front of the door.
