Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well new week means new car show Saturday to prepare for.
This week's show is a two hour drive to McPherson College. They offer the only four year degree in auto restoration in the US.
The show is limited to 150 cars and or trucks. Students selected do the judging. They like the original look so feel the Barracuda might do well.
Going to touch up the drivers exhaust manifold and tinker with the distributor a little more. Also need to file down the battery clamps a little bit and have them looking a little nicer. Also need to take some undercarriage paint and touch up the leaf springs...yes they'll look. Other than that some polish and I'm ready.

Yep. Basically a sinius blockage
Hmmm, I thought of that with the symptoms, I have had sinus stuff with some similarities recently.but the blood 'running' and I took it that the whole thing, especially the hearing loss came on pretty quick. Sounded like you had something a bit more serious going on...

Wife is in line at the unemployment office this morn'.
Do they still have a 'line'? I did everything online a few years ago. I did have to go in for a couple required employment workshops where they tell you about retraining and 'career' day opportunities. Mostly offering jobs that don't require much knowledge/experience and don't pay **** and I would never have a chance at because I was WAY 'over qualified' and not from any 'underprivileged' group.:bs_flag::BangHead:

Sounds like fun! Any chance of some pics?

I have a couple indoor shows coming up. It was suggested I have stanchions for my car.
The only ones I found on line are out of stock. I thought I could make a set out of pvc pipe and paint them, but need a weighted base.
Anyone made these before??

Oh yeah! 52 right now and looking at a high of 73! How bout you folks?
Beautiful here though a little muggy, helps to turn the a/c on at bedtime to sleep comfortably.
Fury has a fuel drip from the pump, or a hose, seeing if Mr. Davis has time to fix it.
Work has been busy and we have the full team of Jamaicans here already, after being short-staffed the last few years due to quota b.s.
A weird thing happened, I was bitching to myself that I hardly ever make cash anymore, now suddenly in the last two weeks I have gotten more cash than ever before. Good to have socked away in a dresser drawer just in case.

never made any, but if I was going to. I have some old sand filled plastic lifting weights that would probably work with PVC pipe. Got any second hand sports equipment places around?

Local Fosters Freeze Cruise In tonight. It’s Mopar night, bring a Mopar and get 5 raffle tickets. Not sure what they’re raffling. This will be the first one I’ve brought the Duster to. We’ll see how this beat up ole jalopy is received. Should be fun.

Morning all. Calling for snow here this afternoon. Gona try and get done before it hits. Zman, concrete in milk jugs with pic pipe in them might work on the cheap.

I think I've seen these at a building recycling store before, probably more fun to build your own though.

No but a 20 pound plate isn't that expensive.

I was thinking the plastic might be better cause for the same weight it gives you a wider base.
Well the opening on a plate going on a 45 pound bar is wider than the one on a plastic weight. And the iron weight might sit better on the floor.
Might be able to form the end of the pvc pipe so I could take them apart to store and transport?? Tap them in the opening with a rubber mallet??
All great ideas!! Thanks!!

Its a car thing, old rims with axles bolted to them.....

Seriously i was going to suggest the barbell thing too. Some always has a set up on the buy and sell. Cheap too.

Whatever you do put a soft cap on it so WHEN some numbnut runs into it, it doesn't get your paint.
Always get a kick out of people with their canopies at car shows. I mean some of these look like they were designed by a kite company. lol Don't bother with the tiedowns and watch the panic when a little breeze kicks up...

Good morning. It's Café du Monde Monday. It's wet out there. I need to learn how to read the NWS rain gauge. My math doesn't correlate with theirs :realcrazy:. According to them, something over .10 last night. I knew there was a reason I didn't wash the truck when I got back from SD
