No it wasn't much different than the concurs class. In fact they asked why I wasn't in that class.Does that mean its like state inspection?

They crawled through and under for about 20 minutes.
It was an interesting experience.
Good morning and happy Friday. Choking down a donut, coffee, and a rerun of GYC, then the day in the shop. Finish up the tunnel ran (hopefully), then the rest of the day working on my sons Model A with him. Will be a good day.

As I expected the Turkey Night Grand Prix in Ventura got washed out yesterday. They're going to try again today. From the looks of the radar they should be in good shape, track prep may be challenging.
100 lap feature for the Midgets. Sounds like a good time. 3 o'clock start, that little track is so close to town they have to be done racing by 10pm. I'm not certain, but I think they use a "white noise" system to mask the racing noise. Have to keep the turistas in the beach front hotels from whining ya' know

I think PA checks headlight aim. But have never been told it was off. I would guess its just a general direction thing and not very precise. Probably only flag you on it if an adjuster or something was really messed up pointing sideways or up in the air doing a bat signal. LOLDoes that mean its like state inspection?

CHP did those inspections for a brief time in the '70s. Block off the street and inspect everyone, unless you had a sticker from a previous stop. I think they do a safety inspection now on long time non-op cars to re-register them, and new construction type vehicles.

Well wasn’t planning on doing any Black Friday shopping but did. Home Depot had some killer deals on some battery operated tools and I cleaned up. I spent less than 200 bucks and ended up with nearly 800 in tools

Some. I also got some Ryobi stuff.
Guy almost lost 1/2 his hand due to a failed fence on a ryobi tablesaw.
Ryobi gave him a truckload of tools.
Honda crv, dead miss. 50 psi on cyl 3. Adjusted valves with no improvement. Its junk. I hate being bearer of bad news.
I bet. I have high quality table saws, band saws and stuff. What I got today was mainly for light duty, like when I’m at work and my wife wants to use my drills for one of her many art projects. Or fixing this or that. But I’ve had pretty good luck with Ryobi so far. We shall see. The ones I’ve not had good luck with have been Dewault. One their batteries last about 6 months and then just won’t charge. Two, I’ve had the chucks on their drills fail twice.
Yet my dewilt 20v get regular abuse and all my batteries are still good. But the batteries get recharged often.
Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades....
It’s like anything else, win some, lose some. I’ve had el cheapo brands last forever, while craftsman, Dewault etc break in sort order. I also think it depends on where you buy them too. I’ve had better luck with the Dewault tools I’ve bought from the local construction store than I have with the ones I bought from Lowe’s and Home Depot.
That said, Milwaukee’s are my favorite for heavy duty use. Zero issue with them ever
And I’ve not tried their 20V, mine was their 18V kit
