Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey lucky you, I'm back.
Don't know this Greta person, nor am I going to look.
I don't care for Time, and don't care...JMO.

Thrush is the cheapest POS muffler on the planet. Well, they used to be back in the 70's.

Well, back then all mufflers was POS. Original ones too, they just lasted a few years at least if you lived in an area with a lot of moist / rain, maybe winter and snow too. All of them seem to have become better.

When I was attempting to make the Cuda more streetable I decided to install headlights. I looked around shop and just did not have any head light buckets but did have a pair of dump wagon night lights in my service truck for the farm..... yep they are now head lights for the cuda!

Page out of the Rat Rod Rule book there :poke: Looks good, you could be on to something there.

It's Willys Wednesday!
Good morning.
I want oak cabinets in my next shop.

Thanks for the link. I had to get out of there. I get in my You tube account and watch videos for hours. I can't stop. LOL
Agreed, I recently needed to put a new optic on competition pistol and lo and behold some guy has a you tube of the install complete with adaptor plate. Really helped me. SIG has all kind of weird proprietary stuff. They do not play well with others.

You know since I can get around, I should pull the front seat out of my car and install the head rest's. Im kinda nervous to do so since I have to cut the seat cover. Wish I could just feel where they go and punch through but I dont think it will work like that..
Did it already have headrests? Trying to remember how they go together. Some kind of plastic inset with a metal clip... Just cut an x, not a hole.

The kids with no experience and knowledge is taking over the world.

I mean, I am not trying to bad mouth her, but someone who is 16 does not have the education of what is happening, and in her case, it is her mom and a friend of her mom who is running an environmental organization and obviously is feeding the girl the information she have. So, everything the girl is saying is second hand information, it is not her own research or knowledge. She is being used as a tool, a voice for the organization. And I think it is wrong to use a 16 year old for that. Because, she will be the one to face media, and other people around the world. She will be the one who has to defend her own words. No one will go after her mom or her moms friend or the organization that most people even don't know about.

That said, I am not against a cleaner world, I just think the whole thing is on a side track, what they should have focused on is to reduce the use of resources, then the environment would have benefited by itself. But no one wants to go back to repairing a tv, a computer, a car, a fridge or whatever. Just toss it. Things have been moved from having a lot of people working in the repair field, and over to production, and on the way a lot of people got out of a job. This just increase the tension in society, it is not longer a human right to provide for yourself, and this is food for those who want all the rich to take care of all the poor. A bad solution, but an understandable one considering the circumstances. Not going to say anything about American politics, but in general, no matter what country, the right side in politics usually push the line towards the left, and the left push it to the right. What I mean is that the right side in politics push their views to the right, but the result of this is that more and more people wants to go left and to the extreme left, and when the left side rules, they do the same, they push their agenda further to the left, making more and more people wanting to go right. And this is where the entire world is right now, the pendulum has been swinging more and more, and too much swinging is dangerous. People need to back off their pushing.

Well, that was my rant for the day. (I hope, lol)

Well said Bill. ANd that's all I am going to say. How's the weather where you are? LOL

The boats I work on also service offshore windmill farms. One is an oil spill from one.
Green can be so poluting.

I get a kick out of all the throw away crap made today. But we recycle it, so its OK. And what is the cost environmentally and $ to recycle it? Not saying we cant take steps to protect the environment, but don’t think much of it is thought all the way through. To much of it is half assed, or for profit in disguise

As a former miner, one of my pet peeves. I'm sure they use the "more efficient/smaller carbon footprint" line as a selling point. It was hard enough to get a human driver to park where I wanted them for loading to make me more efficient, can't even imagine chasing an autonomous truck around the pit to get them loaded in an efficient manner

Except the calculation for the windmill energy production cost is false and quoted out of context of what was originally written by the author. Steel made from iron or and coal takes 15 megawatts per ton to produce. That 260 ton windmill took 390 megawatts of energy to produce. Since it generates 2 megawatts of power it pays for itself in total cost and energy required to manufacture it in about 3 years in a good wind location.

The original statement by the author was that a windmill in a poor wind location could spin forever and never generate as much energy it took to produce.

Here is what he originally wrote...

“The concept of net energy must be applied to renewable sources of energy, such as windmills and photovoltaics. A two-megawatt windmill contains 260 tonnes of steel requiring 170 tonnes of coking coal and 300 tonnes of iron ore, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons. The question is: how long must a windmill generate energy before it creates more energy than it took to build it? At a good wind site, the energy payback day could be in three years or less; in a poor location, energy payback may be never. That is, a windmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.”

I was researching the same info, Thanks. So at the bottom of the sea, a windmill might never pay for itself? Who would have thought it!!

Still haven heard from guy who’s truck is sitting here with a dead battery.
Brake job almost got done. Bad adjuster on one side and wrong one on other. So neither were adjusting and tops of both shoes worn off.
And no parts.

That's the vehicles that got parked directly in front of the shop doors or the service gate (that swings out). No keys, no identification and no appointment .:wtf::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::rofl:

Here ya go, look close and check out the rubber edging on light. I carry those lights in my truck on the farm exactly as Rani explains there is not a bumper or light untouched during harvest. Of course I also keep a spare mailbox in my truck for when one of us wipes out a mailbox dragging an implement, result of a city driver gets impatient and forces us in the ditch to avoid an accident.

I got the headrests with the car when I bought it but they were never mounted in the seats. I also got all the hardware, etc.. I dont know if there is a place in the seats for them, thats why I kind of want to remove the covers first to see.. I would hate to cut them and they dont work. I assume all cars came with them, at least what I've seen in pictures of 71 bench seats.
