Stop in for a cup of coffee

Today was such a fun day. Sorted bolts for the scamp and tried to put together the bottom of a 360 in a duster.

Then I tried messing with the go kart project. The 5 hp is still on a roto tiller. The gas tank was empty so i filled it up and realized the Chinese carburetor is pissing gas out through the choke butterfly. So I sprayed it with brake cleaner and got it started which was probably not that safe with gas everywhere but oh well. Then I got it running and it ran for awhile and warmed up. Then i shut it off to use the restroom and came back out and when I went to restart it I forgot to slide the run and off switch back to run and cranked it and cranked it and just when i was getting irritated i realized it was my fault because I realized it switched off. So I let it sit for an hour and it fired right up.

Then I saw that it was still leaking so I disconnected the fuel line and put it in the gas can . I tried siphoning the gas to make it faster but that didn't work so then I blew air into the gas tank to drain the gas faster into the can. Worked but I found the gas and fuel line don't taste very good.

But I got the engine prepped for the go kart.

Daughter and SIL left a bit ago from the pre holiday stuff fest. I just cant get why I cannot get the kids a big *** bag of rock candy and a few pupies for xmas. Think his sister has reactions if you ask me!

I don't see why anyone would junk them. Chrysler engineers put them there for a reason, their engineering is worth millions and millions of dollars to know this stuff.

'74 shows two versions of the v-8 left strut depending on vehicle.
Neither the same as the '69 above.
Maybe a change after certain date?

Might be more variations ???

That's the best I can do now. When I'm at the garage I'll try to remember to look for the left strut that didn't fit my 340/727.

Like the masses, I don't think they are necessary but it would drive me nuts to leave them off, knowing they are supposed to be there. :D:p

Evening all.
Hiya Steve!

Staying level here...but headed to bed in about an hour.

Christmas Eve with friends here at home and friends like you on line is the best...even though you are out in the Gulf away from your family, you still have us here to share the time with as if we were all gathered together.

3/4 of the friends I have shared the evening with are scattered across the country, but we still connected by text and email.

Don’t get me started on cookies and sweets...the damn house is full of them! Wife and daughter have been baking like mad!
