Your N=1 does not make a statistic. Nor does hearsay. The first shot of Moderna isn’t bad. It’s the second. My wife got it and after the second shot, for about 24 hours she said she hurt all over, her injection side arm wouldn’t stop shaking. So bad, they shut down her office and sent everyone home because they all got it the same day and everyone was having the same level of side effects.
i hear the pfizer isn’t as bad
We have 5 neighbors that have received both Moderna shots and only one had any significant difference with the second shot. Still, not enough to draw conclusions.
Moderna has a massive data base of millions of vaccinations that show inconclusive correlation between first and second shot reactions nor any significant differences of reaction with the Pfizer vaccine according to FDA Pharmacovigilance reports as required under the Emergency Authorization Protocol. Both show some slight increase in side effects following the second dose, but not enough to demonstrate correlation...yet.
Local observation with limited data numbers does not equal sound science. Just because you see clear blue sky where you are, doesn’t mean it’s the same across the globe.
