Typically I leave the engine on the wheeled cart and leave it at the tailgate. Truck rides best there, but you have the trailer to help. Then I use long ratchet strap from 1 corner of the front of the bed hook, around engine to the other front hook. Then a 2nd ratchet strap from 1 back corner hook, around engine, to the other back corner hook. Then straps are pulling against each other. Hauled a 460/C6 from FL to WI on wheels. Never budged.

My view of the world this afternoon. Trap season is in full swing. We have around 1300 shooters in our league. They have it divided up into I think nine divisions. 6-8 teams per division. We are in the top division chasing a bunch of old codgers that whip the crap out of us every single year. They are whipping us again this year. They are like machines. They take a stool out to the line, set it beside their station and when it is their turn to shoot they stand up, say pull, and bust the bird. Argh!!!!!!!!
