The drought is only part of the problem too. Even in a wet year, the consumption rate of the Colorado river was such that even in a wet year, they were using more than it’d replenish. We studied that in college 10 years ago now. I remember being shocked to learn that at the time, no water from the Colorado river was getting to the Pacific ocean

And there are quantities that have to cross over into Mexico as well.

I lived in the Colorado river valley near Somerton, AZ. The water board was serious and gauged everything very closely. My pasture was flood irrigated and required a lot of coordination

I saw something a while back that they were doing something to farmers using water from the Colorado river but I forget what. I’m gonna go look

3 plugs out, 3 plugs stuck. Only been likely 100,000 miles since they were changed. So this puts a damper on this job. Im going to go cut grass or nap or something.
