Stop in for a cup of coffee

Had a good time at the oval track last night :D. Re-connected with more long time acquaintances plenty good racing. The IMCA Modified main reminded the wingman and I of the "Old" IMCA days when we used to have a $ pool for how many yellow flags there would be during in the Modified Main Event . Add a dollar pick a number and watch the race . The track promoter at the time was not amused when he learned of our practice. I was polite, I let him have the opportunity to get in the pool . We heard a couple weeks later from some of our pit bound racing buddies that he discussed the pool with the IMCA drivers at the driver's meeting before their next race . Strange that beginning that night the yellow flag frequency during the Mod races decreased significantly . We also heard a rumor that the current track owner may have organized a couple more racing events in the near future .

Remove that divider wall and Cubby would make it all easy!

Yeah. I love the trees and landscaping but something more like a hay field would be easier to maintain.

Pulling weeds and cleaning up under the deck is a bit of a booger as well

Rain started just as i was finishing clean up so that's it for the day

Those are some beasties. Had an opportunity to do a jump from one. PITA coming down from the passenger deck to in-flight rig parachutes. Generally chaotic

Cool exit though[
We got a ride home on one (C5) once and there was enough room for us to have a impromptu canteen rugby match in the back. And ya wonder why they hated carting us around! The thing was MT we figured why not? How many folks can claim they have played rugby inside a plane! The crew was not amused.

So you can’t make this up, I live in rural Agriculture area, I sighted in my neighbors rifle for him today. I walk it over and deliver it back to him as he is outside puttering. Ever present Hemi at my side. I hand rifle to him about the time a stranger rolls down the drive, let’s just say immigrant type, dressed very odd for a rural setting. Clearly he belongs in Minneapolis! So anyway he will not get out of the car, I gave Hemi a standby command so she is rigid and all ears. Neighbor gets frustrated and exclaims why won’t this guy get out of the car. I laugh and told him think that thru, you are holding a rifle and I am holding a Shepard at attention. He may not be from here but clearly he ain’t dumb! Turns out neighbors wife had sold something on FB and the guy was there to pick it up!

**** I stayed at Johns house not long ago and got up at 5 am and very quietly went outside and Hemi was on me in a second and about **** myself. Lucky me she knew I was the treat guy and let me go. LOL

Just dumped fuel all over the driveway getting the Caddy inside the lift bay. Hosed the mess down, but I'm sure it'll leave a mark. Looks like some Critter ate through the fuel line. Hope he got a mouthful....

Cleaning up the driveway area outside the bay doors... I need to clean and seal the blacktop before winter. It's kinda jacked from all the degreasing and other solvents...

Looked at that broken K and had a thought...as I need a wood rack for the fire pit.... hmm..

Repurposed

Probably weld some legs and uprights on it later

Farmer's Almanac says we're in for a dry mild winter here in the Southwest. I think that La Nina current in the Pacific is guiding that. The rest of the country better Look Out!
