Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was just out and cut up a pile of small stuff and moved it away from the main pile the guys are coming to split up tomorrow. Also, decided I want to keep these 2 Cherry logs. Been laying there quite a while and I thought they might be too far gone, but a quick slice looks good. Not sure what I will do with them.

For sure. I am a nut for wood grain. Our old house is all oak on the main floor. We have a 100+ year old mahogany piano that just glows in the sunlight. I have taken quite a liking to Gibson Les Paul electric guitars here lately. I have a couple acoustical guitars and play a few cord sets but that's it. I would love to pull the trigger on one but they are going for a few thousand. Just to have something cool to look at. They are beautiful mahogany tops that are book matched and stunning. This is a Joe Perry model that came out of their Custom Shop. Stunning

You like wood? Here's a couple more over the top examples. "Burst and Flames" is what this would be described as.

Speaking of woodwork, the last B&B we stayed at was at least 120 years old. Lots of original woodwork still intact. The wainscott and door casings were quite intricate. House was built by the owner of a sawmill, so it stands to reason. Was home to some military big wigs way back as well. Saw a few similar houses in Fredrickton, so i guess the builder was quite popular back then.

Wow just Wow!

Technical question for TMM, one of my guys has this box circa 95 ish. Every year about this time of high humidity he cannot unlock his box for a few days. You ever hear of anything like that? I told him he needs to pull the drawers and give the locking linkage some love. But of course he does not like that solution.

Never an issue but yes some love on the cylinder, mechanism and slide plates in the back. I would use some spray lithium.

I haven't made these in quite a while. But I saw these nice peppers when I was in the grocery store the last time. Anyhow spent some time late this afternoon and early this evening getting all this together. Pretty damn good if I may say so myself.

Funny stuffed peppers story
When I was in Serbia we had to hire a new cook...so we'd bring locals in to cook tryout dinners for the team

Lady came in and made stuffed peppers that were amazing ... so we hired her

Well, after about 3 days in a row we asked her to makes something other than stuffed peppers.
Turns out that was all she knew how to make.

Is rain and thunderin. I got some grass mowed. Moved 8 of those bigger patio blocks. They are heavy, but finally out of the way.

Oh I’m on a roll today!

went to the local VFD board meeting, they were discussing their annual chicken and burger BBQ they have done for about 5 decades now. They always sell out. They make a KILLING.
Anyway, some lady stands up and goes on a rant about how they need to offer fresh vegetarian food. I stood up, looked right at her and pointed at the open door way overlooking a cornfield, said “they already do, can’t get any fresher, go pick it yourself” . The laughter probably was heard from the next county and the lady stood there giving me a look that would kill.

******* hippies are invading us

Did you park the forklift back in its space before you left?

:poke:

Nope. I took my office space back and said if you don’t like it, well fire me. Boss man caved instantly. Though it made his blood boil for a while. He eventually said whatever

Tornado watch to the west. Its really thundering here. Not sure how bad its going to get.

I was just lookin at the NWS radar, more monsoonal activity out in the Mojave Desert . I didn't look specifically, but I don't think it even made it to 70° here today. Oh Boy! Sounds like the Navy Wingnuts from Lemoore NAS are back again today.
