well with wind chill it's 45 below here but I think Frank might be a bit colder. Doesn't matter it's just cold and the best part is, no bugs.

I camped in winter in snow when I was a teenager in CAP and had good memories. Nothing compared to the experiences you guys have had. But the older I get the warmer I like it.
But the only way to really appreciate 0° is to spend several days outside in -50°. Then it's like beach weather and you're sitting in your tent in your underwear drinking hot tea.

I’ll take your word on that. You won’t catch me leaving the house at -50. But I believe you, at that rate 0 seems balmy.

I think the coldest I have been out in was -10. I have been out for a week or more several times

I went snowmobiling in -26 F once...

Lost the only set of keys for my car (68 Barracuda)... Walked the path to try to find them and couldn't... Now I always have two sets of keys on my JIC, and one or two sets at home...

These guys with transport boats in Vietnam always seem to try to overload them. I'm sure that's to get as much revenue as they can out of each load, but that would scare the **** out of me sitting that low in the water. I go up on this new bridge from time to time and early mornings just to hang out for a few minutes. Caught this last week

Time for bed. I think I'll need the bedapread tonight. I can hear the wing howling.
