Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning guys and gals. Had a great time yesterday, at the baseball card show talked to a bunch of big kids like me hunting cards. Buddy and I are going back again today. Weather turns warmer mid 40's Monday for a week or so and hopefully melts away the snowpack we've had for almost a month.

But are they points cards?
Well in a way you are correct. The scale for a card or set run 1 for poor to 10 for mint and is based on several factors of condition. A person can also send in a card for professional grading $ 20 minimum charge and the card is given a grade and placed in a small plastic case with the graded number. Collectors will do this for the star cards of a set (example 1956 Topps) to give the overall set a better value. Others will sell the graded card for a higher price compared to the same card ungraded. Ebay is a big seller of baseball cards. They have a place where you can check and see what a card or set has sold for in the last three months which gives you a better idea of the market. Currently I'm working on a 1956, 1957, 1960, 1968, 1970, and 1978 all Topps sets. I'm going to these shows and buying common cards players who played and weren't considered the big star. You got to have them to fill the set. These cards depending on the year will range from .75 to $20.00. A have a couple sellers I frequent and because of my business will give me a 20% discount. Like car parts the older the set the harder it is to find a quality card but thats the fun of it.

It's just like a car show everyone there enjoys the activity and everything that goes with it. I have found too baseball cards for the most part are cheaper than the old cars. Just a new hobby to enjoy and share.
Did you see the story about the young collector that scored a card which the Pittsburgh Pirates tried to get from him.... including 30 years of season tickets?...

Kid turned them down. Even with the player girlfriend offer  Smart kid

This threw me off. Change in the conversations tab. I was trying to find a tracking number that I had been sent. Kept scrolling and couldn't find the message thread. Saw the "Purchases" tab off to the side...and there it was. I didn't put it there, so something looks at those or tracks it when you select "Contact seller" or something?
