Stop in for a cup of coffee

You just can't imagine the demons some people are dealing with.
I believe you've seen a lot with your past job, wife is in same field only they aren't in jail although many have been. They are increasing their capacity by 4 beds soon, I'm hoping her work load won't be affected too greatly and when she gets a couple of difficult cases it can make for a tough day.

To be honest I have had nightmares over things I have seen or known about people. And not all from the prison. I was a counselor/therapist before the prison gig

Toms reaction when I told him he hit it on the head ! well, sounds like you have done that a few times

Horror stories you hear as a social worker will drive you crazy. The ones who really care get burned out early.

It’s getting better. Will be a better, healthier life after in healed. The hardest part has actually been sleeping. I’ve always been a stomach sleeper, having to train myself to sleep on my back, which is better for your internals, is a good thing albeit challenging. But could ultimately help my sleep apnea as a side affect. We’ll see

Not good to be a stomach sleeper in jail...

Once worked with a young guy that was all tatted up-neck, face, everything. Had a strange flowery looking red and green mess covering his forehead. Another guy was thinking of getting some ink so asked this guy which tat shop to go to. He checked out the website and found this same guy’s picture with F*ck The World” clearly tatted across his forehead. He never got hired because he was a convicted felon.
