Never wear jewelry of any kind welding.
He'll never wear gloves or a helmet for that matter.
I always wear my PPE when welding, especially in the summer.

Buddy of mine managed to get a welder to arc on his gold wedding band! Said it blistered up immediately and he has a real interesting scar on his finger now!!
A foreman of mine is missing that finger due to a work related incident. He was getting off his road grader and the ring got hung up on the grab rail and off went the finger

I caught my gold one on a nail once. Bent the ring and tore my finger up nicely. I wear silicone rings now.

My wedding ring is actually a tattoo so no matter how much tequila I drink, and no matter how good she looks I can’t take my ring off! Because of the weightlifting I have to have the underside re done every five years or so. I wear a silver dollar ring over the top. It is so wore it just looks like a silver band, you can no longer tell it was a silver dollar unless you look at the inside.

Had a worker in the shop. One of those longhair pinko freaky people. said he was an undercover agent for the FBI. Sorry going off track. Song just popped in.
Anyway he managed to get his hair caught in a drill press.
My foreman and another guy. Grabbed him by the shoulders and ripped him out.

BIL did the same thing, stripped meat away from bone but docs somehow sewed it all back together and works/looks pretty good considering. When I worked in Com Shop in Navy, no rings or watches, metalic or not catch/shock hazard.

Yep that is why got the tatoo, when at work, no ring.

I almost lost my ring finger climbing over a fence in Viet Nam and jumping down when my ring got caught on one of the upper Spears. That's all I'm going to say......

Fun day in the shop, not getting a ton done but when do I ever? I pulled out an Alpine 6x9 that was pulled from the Duster, hooked it up to the 8 track @AAR 64Valiant sent me (thanks Wolfie!), ran it upside down until I fix the noise/bearing, sounded good, thanks also to @pauly for the Aldo Nova!
