Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, just think about the vacuum source. It is supposed to be from the base of the carb which is constant vacuum when the engine is running. I haven't thought about what the valve does when you step on the gas and the vacuum goes away. There is no spring inside to make the plunger do anything. If the blow by pressure is enough to unseat the valve then the vacuum sucks it into the base of the carb and the air stream. (I would imagine) A bad pcv, carboned, rusty, or the like, wont seal at low engine speeds and could cause a vacuum leak. If your engine is running borderline lean, I could see where it could lean it out even more at highway speeds when the blow by pressure is high. Just thinking out loud.

"The PCV valve regulates how much vacuum can pull through the crankcase. It's hooked into the intake - when the vacuum is high at idle, the PCV valve stops most of that vacuum. As vacuum drops with an increase in RPM, The PCV valve opens, to allow a higher volume of gasses and pressure to be pulled into the intake. "

contradictory info everywhere :)

Another way around paving is plastic structure buried below the surface. I wanted to try this out in the local park for the farmers market area.

Had hummingbirds kicking around... put the feeder out and they were buzzing about for a few days.

Now, nothing. Haven't seen one at the feeder in a week.

I'm taking it as a sign of impending doom.
