Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have been working on Lauren's footboard. We bought the set used and there was some damage and wood missing but just the pieces that attach to the center support. (California King with 2 mattresses ) I am no furniture maker but I will get it. After a few trips to Menards of course. The old wood was a 1x4. No wonder why it broke. 78" span. Replacing it with a 2x4. The whole thing is oak of course.

Long ago my 17 year old son bought a car and 2 days later got in an accident and totaled out both cars. Cop came to my door and showed them the title that I hadn't put in my name yet and the cop said you're not the owner so you're not responsible. I told the cop the owner signed the title off to me but since I didn't sign my name to the title I was not the owner yet. Told the cop not his fault and I signed my name on the title as the cop watched but said he didn't see me do that. I'm an asshole but a nice *** hole.
1983, MoFoCo reintroduces the Rustang Rag Top. Gotta have one! Spouses daily was a '76? Honda Civic. No trade-in involved. Put Honda on market sold quickly, all paper work correct. 2 days after sale the buyer returns to ask "Do you still have the Honda insured? We totaled it yesterday." :realcrazy: I was at AAA with the transfer papers 15 minutes after the sale. "Sorry. Honda was all yours shortly after you drove away."

Yea I agree, your rates would have gone up real fast.

June 24, 1948, Communist forces cut off all land and water routes between West Germany and West Berlin, prompting the western allies to organize the Berlin Airlift.

I was stationed in Berlin. Cool because at that time you still received the military Army of Occupation medal, from WW-2, not an overseas service ribbon

After hearing what you went through and others I'd have to say you deserve more than a medal. Mostly jumping out of a perfectly good air plane and dealing with the extreme cold staying in a tent. My hat is off to you and the rest for putting up with it.

Wish I was still doing it, Fred

Sucks to get old

Ferd was so weird when I ordered that Rag Top. You could get it with "parts" of the GT package, but not all. V-8 auto we wanted, spouses left foot was untrained in clutch operation. "Automatic has to be the V-6." There in showroom next to it sits new T-Bird V-8 auto. :wtf: I did get the GT suspension package, that was allowed, handled like a frickin' go-kart :steering:. That 4.3 V-6 was just a chopped off 5.0, no big deal. Funny thing, it started burning oil at 8 months old. They started on the Windsors in what, '63? 20 years later cut off 2 tubes and start using crappy valve seals. Their was a recall on those 4.3s that year  I asked the service manager and he told me that they were putting the 5.0 valve seals in the recalls

Thinking I will wait till dark, long sleeve shirt and do some mowing, tried this morning but it was WAY to wet.. yes, it's hot.
Good evening everyone, there safe place in the rear area of home, country living let me wait for cooler weather to to some clearing, mother nature can enjoy it on these hot summer days

Man. The guy I’ve been buying my fireworks from now for 20 years went out of business this year. Due to health issues. Hate it for him, he was/is a good guy and knew more about fireworks than anyone should ever know.
