Stop in for a cup of coffee

Big rain this morning. Thunder and lightening. Just a good ol' thunderstorm. It will rain for at least another hour. Heading your way Eric.

Been working on that 63 Fury and all the rust on the front fenders is welded up, sealed up and fitted on the car. I have to fix the hood, it's bent on the left side and need to weld in a reinforcement panel to stiffen it up.
Getting closer to mud and blocking and that's my favorite thing. Well not so much the mud but the priming and fine tuning is.

Looking good Fred.

Looks like you are moving forward and doing a very fine job Fred, don't know what's wrong with me today, got up at 5:30 showered, took trash down on my way out to get the 2 inch exhaust taken off along with 2 inch walker restrictive mufflers and put 2 1/2 straight threw mufflers and pipe on to the rear axel, all went well and she is musc quieter driving, under hood temps went down by 25 to 30 degrees, back pressure was the couse, less throttle position to sing along at 60 also, amazing really.

But as I returned home I was hungry, so I had an egg and ham breakfast for lunch and haven't had any energy since, stress I guess, who knows .. Hopefully I will feel like my old self. You had a big day .

Looks good Mike and sounds nice too.

Body shop guy is calling for my rear seat, didn't think about that. Wants to confirm he located holders correctly on the floor pan and that it fits tight, will try to get it to him today as am working in Marysville so call it "my lunch"

Damn, my lower back is out this morning. (it started last night) I an barely put weight on my right leg. :mob: :mob:
To he chiro I go today. I hope she's not on vaca.

So I picked up a really nice 69 Dart 4 speed console yesterday. I’m kind of on the fence of putting it in my 70 Duster. It didn’t come with brackets or the shifter so there’s that. My car has the deluxe dash and I redid them with the carbon fiber inlays from DMT. Would I be better off selling this to a purist or doing my thing? Wood grain on it is excellent but I’d be doing the carbon fiber inlays on the console to match everything else. Your thoughts?

That is a beauty.

I have a complete auto console, i think its in decent condition, shifter and all. Been parked since the late 80’s. Im tempted to put it in my Dart, as it has buckets and a buddy seat. I like the buddy seat, for the arm rest, so im on the fence.

One thing I really miss on my old cars is a center armrest. The consoles are cool but no cup holders. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Moved my shifter from column to floor console and lived to regret it. My current opinion, the thing is worthless. No armrest, no cup holder(s). If I could go back to the bench with fold down and the aftermarket caddy on the hump... yeah what we appreciate changes as we age.
And by the way, last evening the discission was made. We're selling out of A-body. The Reeses peanut butter truck is our shell now. At our age it could be our last.

I built my own center console, and it works great but need to pad the arm rest.

You can get some good coin for it from the pursuits but you would probably not find a better one with as nice chrome finish
