After we take a trip, I always review what I packed and how I can improve on stuff. I always overpack and take too much stuff. I make a list when we return of stuff we took, however, we did not use. I also make a list of stuff we need to improve on and need, but did not have.

. It's not really that far out of the way for the drive home. Another thought, one of the routes may have been closed for that brush fire just east of here. That would have made for a long drive home.
I need to get the pole trimmer out and see if I can get some more bush trimming done. They are getting so big I am having a devil of a time getting to the center of the bushes. The pole trimmer sure helps but it kills my shoulders. It's pretty heavy and holding it out 10" and trying to not scalp the bushes takes muscles I don't have any more.
Sounds like you need to trim the bush more often. I hear when you keep the bush trimmed it makes your deck look bigger
