Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning all.

I’m officially stumped.

The Cummins yesterday just miles from home on the return trip, started missing, back firing and basically acting like it ate another injection pump. Even through the dreaded 0216 pump failure code. I limped it home. Let it sit where died in the drive way at the farm. Hopped in about 5 hours later, it fired right up, runs like normal, runs strong, no smoke, no back fire, no 0216 injection pump failure code. Drive it around the country mile square, total of 6-7 miles, ran just fine. Mechanical gauges so good fuel pressure to the pump. Confirming the factory readings from the computer(separate sensors and locations)

wtf :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
These pumps lubricated by engine oil pressure?

Drop a LS in it!

Man that sucks. I would guess you need it to happen to trouble shoot it at that time? No idea on them.
Yeah, there’s really no way to confirm which it is without a very very very expensive and hard to get tester. It’s only available from Bosch and it’s like 15,000 plus a yearly 4k subscription

What year is the truck and what injection pump do you have?

Just got back home from Bismark. My son is doing well and had a great visit.
Was on a 4-lane highway and nobody around so stuffed the gas pedal on the Scamp to the floor. I'm running a GPS speedometer and guessing it's pretty accurate. Got up to 125 MPH and ho ****! that's to fast for this old man but was fun.
