Up for sale is my 1972 Dodge Demon 340 ("H" code)

Original engine was replaced and now sports rebuilt 360 (around 10k miles) with around 400hp and rebuilt 727 Torque flight transmission with 8 3/4 rear diff on 3:55 gears and Sure Grip.

New interior, new suspension and new steering, new rear disk brakes.

Mopar power!

Runs and drives great!

We do something similar, but with garlic flavored olive oil instead, and green beans sautéd in butter. Mm-mm-good!

Mostly just because it was too damn far away from my chosen work. They weren't building any Freeways or Launch Sites out there at that time I got laid off from the contractor I was working for at SLC6 Vandenberg and put my name on the out-of-work list. The day after I got a new job here, my old superintendent called me and wanted me to go to Ft Irwin for about 6 months. Ft Irwin is like 1 mountain ridge and a valley away from Death Valley. "No thanks Earl. I'm making concrete here at the beach now." They had like 200K yards of mud to do out there, landing strip or somthin'. Would have been like a 60% raise in my pay, but it would just break even with the costs of livin' out there and here at the same time.

Back from the bike races. A good day. A couple of hic ups but easy to handle. Lauren went to a work party and Shelley went to the winery with the neighbors. I think I'll just kick back and sip on some Bourbon and put my feet up. Another 10,000 step day. I usually only get in 2 or 3 thousand so I am beat.

My son today had one heck of a day in 92 degree heat.

First: Tackle football, started at TE and DE, played some LB and CB as his team has been decimated with injuries and strep that’s going around. Only could dress 11 players today. Recorded 2 sacks, 2 TFL, 1 forced fumble and 2 pass defensed. On office, he had 2 runs, 1 for 3 yards and another on a Jet sweep for 47 yards and TD.

Then he ran a 3K for cross country just an hour later, in 11 minutes, 21 seconds. Good enough for 34th place out of 168.

Not sure where he gets the athleticism or the energy.

Cricket continues to be $45 after 8 years unlimited everything and better than Verizon coverage and no signing on to a plan.
