Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got caught by the cops 11:30 at night with a go-cart. It too had direct drive. Was a block over from the house and asked the cop if I could drive it home and he said nope. Well, got a screwdriver so I can take the belt off....don't want it to start up when I start pushing it. It doesn't have a shut off lever. He got out and looked in the trunk of the cop car and found one! Just glad dad wasn't home!
I got chased by a cop on my dirt bike when I was young. I slid the bike around a corner on to a gravel road and the cop came around the corner and slid into a fire hydrant and totaled out the cop car. I made it home safe and hid the bike.
It was the talk of the neighborhood for a long time.

Sometimes I think they just did it for the entertainment value to break up a boring day
I agree. Believe it or not our local State police brought in a bike and trained a cop to run us down. The cop was a good friend of my dad's so Dad just laughed and said good luck. You will never catch these boys on that "HARLEY"

I still want a Cushman. It would be fun cruising around at car shows.

Growing up, our town police only worked 7am to midnight. State police covered in between, but we were so far out of the way, you never saw them.
