Completely disagree.
Those “flanged” axles are just as strong and work fine. The only headache is brake changes. ALL the max wedge and super stocks from the factory had those axles. Mopar went away from for ease of use.
The 741 is stronger than a standard ford 9 inch center section. Hell you can’t even touch a 741 open center these days for 100 bucks. And that 741 center can be used in any 8.75
And those flange axles, they’re actually the same housing. Pull the drums, the backing plates are the same. Get a set of Dr Diff axles for 300 bucks and you have a 8.75 for 400 bucks with stronger axles. This is what I did on my polara.
Or you can de-swege the hubs form the drums and be able to work on the brakes as you would any other 8.75
And that appears to be a 62-65 B body axle based on vent location, those with an offset shackle kit will fit the tubs of 70-76 a bodies. So

So I’ve decided to finish the house myself with a group of friends. The only thing left on the siding job is just trim, it’s weather tight so I’m not worried about that much
So after power tour, I’m taking my remaining 3 weeks of vacation and getting this thing done. Couple local friends said they’d help me in the evenings some.
Wish me luck but if the damn contracts that I had a lawyer review and write are only enforceable by 6-12 months of court dates, f it. I’ll save the money and headache.

So I had my Jeep windshield replaced a while back and lost my 2024 sticker. I emailed Painless Performance, who makes the stickers for power tour, they had an extra left over that they sent me.. for free!
Chris that would look better on a Prius and you would have saved gas also!

But no, there’s a guy on the power tour Facebook page driving a class B motorhome. Will not listen to anyone that tells him that Hot Rod will NOT let him in the venues. So the tour already has that “guy”
