I seem a little out of sorts tonight. Just had one bourbon on the porch and then just had a cup of hot tea. I promize I'll get back into action tomorrow night.
I'll bring a bottle to Farmington and we can all have a nip!

Was at a bar tonight with friends, I was full from pizza, so beer didn't appeal to me, and I didn't really want hard liquor. A friend suggested a dry cider. It was around 5-6% alcohol and came in a big can. It was very refreshing and pleasant to drink.
Turns out, dry cider was once very popular, Johnny Appleseed even planted seeds for cider apples, which are not as sweet as eating apples. German immigrants came along and made beer popular, then prohibition came, and the cider orchards were neglected. When prohibition ended, people were eager to drink, and beer and liquor could be brought back more quickly than cider, so it lost it's following. Pretty soon, sweet, non-fermented fresh apple juice became known as cider. Recently, sweet, alcoholic ciders like Angry Orchard have come along to appeal to youngsters raised on sweet drinks. But now dry cider is making a comeback. I didn't catch the brand the bartender chose for me, but I'm going to ask for some good dry cider again.
Cheers, Keith! I'm having some sauvignon blanc from WA state...Captain would be better. We used to bring it on camping trips, because you could put it in just about anything, coffee, fruit salad, pancake syrup...
Drinking some stones. Local cruise before tomorrow's show was a blast. Got some go pro video. iPad doesn't have a usb so it will have to wait till I get to work to load.
