Kind of looks familiar.
Did you buy it from a member of the Cuda-Challenger site?
This is a pic, he took a couple of years ago, that I saved on my computer.

Yeah that is the same car. The old owner lives about 50 miles away and listed it for sale on our local car club website.

Well Im not quite finished but getting close - it is pretty dramatic if I look back to where it all started from :-D. I think the 273 commando with its wrinkle valve covers, chrome air cleaner, chrome oil cap - etc---- was just one of the coolest looking factory engines ever!!
See Ya - Bill

Clifft, it's been a week. How are you doing on your 273 install? Will we hear it run this weekend? toolmanmike

Brought my buddy's hoist home Thursday, gonna start this weekend! My son's coming home from college for the weekend and I've got a San Jose Earthquake game to watch. A full weekend!!

Sounds like a busy weekend. I will be busy painting the house. Just before noon I got out the Dart and ran to the store for a loaf of bread, Can't have BLT's without bread. I sliced up a few fresh tomatoes. Yum! Keep us posted on your progress. If you can shoot a short video we'd love to hear your new motor.. Mike

OK 273 fans. Give you your thoughts on the benefits/drawbacks of using my stock 273 heads in my rebuild vs. going with a set of 302 (high swirl 318) heads. I'll be running 9.5 to 1 pistons in the rebuild. Oh, btw, the 273 heads will still need to be totally rebuilt, so any rebuild tips and tricks would be appreciated.

I'm currently looking for a 273 4bbl motor to build for my 67 Valiant stock eliminator project. Shouldn't be too hard, seems like most people are pulling them instead of building them.

302's came on mid 80's 318's in Dodge and Chrysler sedans. I got mine from a 85 Chrysler 5th avenue. There should be a million of these cars in the bone yards for cheap. Toolmanmike

I was poking around the Barrett Jackson website and there is a place you
can search for particular cars fron their auction library. There was a 65 Dart
2-door post that sold for $7000 back in 2004. It was a vintage racer with a
"fresh 273 dyno'd at 367hp." 367hp 367hp I don't know what's in that motor or how much it cost. Nor would I want a road race motor in my Dart.
It would be fun on the street for a while. toolmanmike
