The average 408...

here are the valve events

what if the lift was only .500 on a 108cl?

Here's where I struggle, Im not a whiz on cam stuff....

Your Stage 2 head -

I changed the Intake CL to 108 - it altered the valve events -

I kept the lobe CL at 109.7, is that correct?

It made 503 at 6500, improved 14 HP with a DP intake.

nothin special. stock stroke 360 .030 over
302 heads with the bejesus ported outta them
ultradyne cam in the .600"+ range[*EDIT* just rechecked my cam specs. its actually .591" lift] (yes i know whats coming now.. TOO MUCH cam for those heads. well it works.. and works gooooood).
victor intake
11.1: cr
3800 stall but it flashes to 42-4300rpm
4.30's had my best MPH with those gears. went to a 4.10 and got my best ET and 60foots.. less mph tho. go figure. changed tire size from 30" to 28" also.
aluminum driveshaft

suspension is just a typical leaf springs with some mods i care not to get into. had to fab a new plate for the pinion snubber 2 hit.

its a "race race" car in street clothes. no doubt about it.

Defitinitely a well set up car,I should have asked about it before my earlier post.540hp will run the numbers but as you know its all about the car at that point. The only problem with alot of calculators is they give you a perfect scenario such as a well set up car, weather ect.thats unreal to the track. There are so many inefficiencies that can creep up,I prefer to figure about a 15-20% drivetrain loss and go from there, most of the cars I have run it wound up to be more accurate-but then there was one that always went to fast for the mph lol.

For giggles I just did mine on Camquest

581 hp @ 6500
545 Tq @ 5000

750 cfm carb, Single Plane intake Large tube Headers and I manually put in the flow of the heads.

We will see on Friday how accurate this thing really is.

MD - post up your cubes, duration and lift and Ill see what D2000 guesses.

i should have prefaced by sayin the car usually runs all over the place.anywhere in the 10.30s to when the gods a smiling and the wind is bowing straight up the butt it'll go high 10.20s. a bracket car it is not LOL. i knew of one 5.0 Mustang bone bone stock that was always .5 second faster then what it "should" be. silly ford.

Sorry MD but I need your head flow figs as well - you can IM them if you don't wnat to post them.

So do you wanna post my HP #'s vs ULTRA GOD'S (aka RyanJ) Ported 302's?
AS we discused. WE know that my 302's flow on PAR with the aftermarket Brand X heads.

How hard would it be to take that 390 info, tweak it to a 210/150 @500 (guess on my ported 302's) add a single plane street dominator, 750 edelbrock, 270/280 485/515 solid cam, and small tube headers, 9.45-1?

Large tube headers/ SP intake/ 11:1 comp/950 carb/ 274/278 adv - .591

498 @6000
470 @5000

NOTE - I also have to apolgise to WildandCrazy - I stuffed up his head flow figures an his cam events don't match his durations, so I need to re- do them. I've deleted that the data I posted on his combo.

As you asked nicely - Ill run them but I have to get WIlds cam events straightened out first.

Here ya go - as per above -

390 cubes/ 318 bore

1.88 valve -

Flow data
Intake - 200 @ .500
Exhaust - 152 @.500

360@5000
420 ftlbs @ 4000

Torque Monsta!!

Before After
Int. Ex. Int. Ex.
100 70 58 70 60
200 134 110 137 116
300 178 150 201 155
400 225 178 250 183
500 247 188 279 198
550 246 191 281 203

It holds the high number to .600 lift with the intake on. Which is the lift after lash adjustment.

WCG - Those events give D2000 a seat to seat duration of 252 degrees.

So your not getting the 282 advertised you think you are.

Are you sure those events are not "@.50" or something

(That would explain the low HP output?!)

Thats with large tube open headers.

A 900 cfm carb picked up 7 HP.

OK -m here it is!!

I ignored WCGs Valve events, and entered the advertised duration of 283.

His stage 2 combo makes:

427 @5500
462fb @ 5000

(WCG ill send you the card)
