Matt Steen in his SS Valiant, I've spoken to him a few times, mostly machine shop talk but I think he said he was running the 318 heads also.its more like 240 at .050 for a stocker cam , also, might be dwell nose style. also, there is a guy back in midwest, that runs super stock with a 66 valient, 273 also, it runs 10.05 @ 131 mph. just food for thought

@ddartdude is the local expert. He owns 2 I believe. For all the 273 guys out there, ever heard of the 1966 "D" Dart? Good friend had one here in Phoenix,AZ., he bought it new. I got to drive it and it and that little (?) Dart turned my thinking about Mopar small blocks. I've tried to find that car for years now, no luck. Look it up and you'll find a truly remarkable car for it's time, even now! Bee Line drag ways, 1966, headers open and 8 inch wide slicks, consent low 13s. And the sound that 273 made was just heavenly at 7,500 RPM!
