The tear-down of Jake's 65 begins....

-
gt - thanks for the heads-up ... If the motor was build beyond a stock-ish 340 cam in a 318, we'd go headers.

:blob:We're getting excited over here..... :blob:

Dragging Jake's 65 to my paint man Saturday morning for his initial assesment of my bodywork.... If it plays out like it did 10 yrs ago with my Fury and 2 yrs ago with the Shelby Dakota, we'll be bringing an empty trailer homeand going back in a week or so to bring the car back home...............
:burnout:

The paint is still in the can...lol Last weekend/early this week he shot it with a urethane primer and blocked it out just to find any areas we may have missed (and we did). The stripe is going on tomorrow. The main color goes on Monday. will have it back home late next week/weekend.

Thats Hawt!! Satin or gloss black stripe? I vote for AAR style.

Zeus

Neither - already has a plumb crazy stripe.......

Here's a few more pics of yesterday's event and a reminder of 2 years ago:

Great thread on your father & son build. A 65 Cuda was my first car/build/grad car (still have it) so this build brings back those same great memories. Have a pic of my dad laying on the driveway (back in the 80s) when we were doing the front suspension.

Was cool you included all of the family happenings etc...

Just read the whole thread though and its WAY past my bedtime! lol

Jake and yourself learned a ton and will never forget this experience ever!

Now start putting some bling on already! (bumpers etc...)

Cheers

Here's a little tip for Jake

NEVER sell your first car you will regret it forever after, take it from someone who had done that and instantly regretted it
