I would say that is a $5-6K dollar car. After all it is an original T/A..... Not worth $10K in my books thought.:read2:

How does it come about that a 70 T/A Challenger ends up in that kind of shape? Just boggles the mind.

It WAS a T/A car, after you replace every inch of metal on the car all you are really buying is a T/A vin and title. No interior either. So what makes it a T/A now????

Im VERY optimistic and I think once you put $3-4K in sheet metal in you will have a pretty solid 70' T/A challenger. So if you got it for 5k and put 4k in sheet metal you would be off to a good start in my books. I've Seen many 70' T/A's go for $50-75k.

But i agree 10K is to high for the current condition:read2:

I am not going to talk any smack about the car but in my opionion, it is not worth $10K (especially in today's market). Since the values of Mopars (in any stage) are based heavily on whether or not they are #s matching and considering the known amount of work and money needed top bring this car back, the seller will have a hard time justifying this price. But then again, if he finds the right ... uh ... buyer ....

Yep 10 grand And Moparweeden thought i paid too much for a running rust free no undercoating southern california car what a joke .that car is not even all there.

I'm going through this very thing. Question is,
1) what will it cost to get it done.
2) What is it worth done.
3) just how many do you find languishing in someone's back yard.

Answers....
1) a lot
2) more than that
3) they aren't out there anymore

You think this price is high they had one in the coral at the Mopar Nationals in almost tha same shape and the guy was asking $45,000 it was an original Panther pink one he said. I was like I dont care what color it was what the hell did you smoke before coming here.

The motor and tranny aren't in the picture either are they missing also??,,every thing needs to be replaced 10k.. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha get off the crack!!!

I saw a rusted out 71 Cuda with a complete drive train sell for 10,000.00 at Carlisle 2 years ago. And when I say rusted out it looked like swiss chese

b4 i get in that ballpark i,m switching to hockey. this is the reason i did a 66 net though. it was dirt cheap and i,m not building to show or sell. im building to spank maro,s and stangs.

I dont see it being worth that much because it is missing the # match motor. I agree on the 5 grand because it is a t/a title.

That price in insane to us A-Body guys but to those E-Body guys $10,000 is nothing.

There was a 70 AAR Cuda that sold on Ebay a few years ago that was sitting in a junk yard missing everything and crushed and it still went for $6700 The people that are buying these type of cars aren't looking at the body, they are after the VIN,fender tag and the sections of the body that has the numbers stamped in it.

If I ever get my hard-drive back from the computer guys I will post a photo of it.

And as an E-body owner this is the reason I don't like hanging with the E-body crowd. Thanks to Barrett and Jackson the whole attitude has gone to "I have one, you don't, that means I'm better than you."

That's the truth, I has a Cuda back in the 80's but I sold it. I would still love to have a 71 Challenger conv. but I can build two or three cars for what they are going for.

He's fishin'!
It's worth it to the right person i guess.
I agree with the consensus, it's probably worth 5 grand because it is what it is. Or....(most likely)
I'll bet he sells it quick to a rebody specialist.
Watch e-bay in a year and see if it pops up all restored/rebodied.
