Take a look and let me know what you think
The plug is too hot. You are using too much fuel. See it all the time.
Fix the heat range first.
Then set timing.
Then correct the fuel curve.
so help me pick the right one
small block with w2
10,5 cr
Copper is ok. Just the right heat range.dont care about the price but know coper are ok with nitrous so...
alwais ran coper and prefer them
NGK plugs, hotter is a lower number.
BPR5 is hotter than a BPR6
NGK has a good site, not hard to find a plug on the site. Heck, use google.![]()
so if I understand I was using (gr5 plug)the one in the picture
if I wanna have a colder it will be gr4??? mI right
Why use expensive race fuel with 10.5 compression?
Justinp61 has a thread a few pages back and he dynoed his 434 small block and it made 30 more HP and more TQ on pump gas than it did on race gas. It was over 11-1 compression. My small block also made more HP on pump gas than it did in race fuel.
happy for you that you can more hp and torque on pump gas
what about the plug suggestion!!!
sorry but that was a real part numberDidn't I give you a plug suggestion?
sorry but that was a real part number
bpr5
bpr6
what I was running was ngk gr5
bpr5 should be colder than gr5 and bpr6 is even colder???
bpr are they with 13-16 socket or 5-8As I said, I don't do No Good Kind. I have no idea of their numbering system other than a 6 is colder than a 5.
went to NAPA yesterdayIf you want to, or have to run the NGK crap get an FR5 if you are on pump gas.
NGK = Comp to me.
