ToddRon T56 Cross Member No Longer Made?

-
Holley seems to be pretty lack-luster on a T56 swap. Not suggesting they should offer a similar crossmember, only that it seems to be pretty low on the list of swaps to do in their mind for some reason.

I don't find a single car offering that includes the option for a T56. Don't see a manual option at all for the 66-72 B-body, and the 73-76 A-Body and 70-74 E-body only offer a TKX mount. Even the trucks are left out for the T56, but they do offer a mount for the TR6060 (close but not the same mount).

I suspect a part of it is the amount of cutting required to do a T56 swap, while the TKX is pretty moderate from what I have seen. But it sure seems like they would offer T56 swap mounts to go along with their G3 swap parts. I mean, kind of seems like if someone was interested in a G3 swap, at least some of them would want to pair it with a T56.

And if a TR6060 would fit under the floor boards of a D150 or Dakota, why in the world would they leave the T56 swap option off the table.

I guess someone could argue that they are still working on parts, and the T56 stuff just hasn't been developed yet. But it sure seems like there should be something. Heck, when the TR6060 swap parts were developed for the D150, swap a T56 in and do that development right afterwards.

Almost as if Holley doesn't think the T56 swap is worthwhile.

Weird.

Not to say I didn't miss T56 swap parts, but I couldn't find any.

The tr6060 mounting pad is on an angle compared to the t56 magnum version.
Another issue with the tr6060 is the driveshaft is a bolt on and not a splined slip joint.

The tr6060 has many different factory mounting differences which create another problem when doing a mass produced part.

The shifter is another problem with the tr6060. It is separately mounted vs the internal t56 shift rails. I did a bunch of digging to figure out how to mount the shifter forward of the usual spot. In the end it was a big nightmare

I did the internal and housing conversion from a wrecked 11 challenger tr6060 to ls style t56 magnum to gain options with mounts, clutches and throwout bearings.

Many thoughts on the t56 Mopar swaps.
SST and American power train sell their kits with their cross member. No or minimal hot work. Can do in your driveway simple and clean. Do not have to deal with the torsion bar section after cutting it out. Nice company's to buy from and may never have issues.
Then you have the TKO, TKX guys totally different mount set up. Some of the t56 guys are going gen 3 engines with Holley mounts. You have guys installing the T56 with a cross member bolted to the subframe connectors which looks clean. Some people design and fabricate their own system.
Many ways people are installing these transmissions. I wonder if the demand is fading for the smaller majority of people who do not mind a little hot work but want the technical stuff already figured out while keeping the original integrity of the car intact.
