Bought a gear wrench set back in 2007. One of the flex head wrenches went floppy. The local Napa told me to submit a claim online and boom, new wrench. No receipt, just a picture and where I bought it.

Cool. Glad to see it was easy. Few years back I had to have one a 1/2 or 9/16 Gearwrench swapped. But had to ship it to wherever. Craftsman did same thing just sent me a new one.
Was told that GearWrench made the Craftsman ones.
Posted this on another thread yesterday.
They used to make sockets for GearWrench

All I'm saying is it's a pretty good 2nd place and I was pleasantly surprised. Sure beats looking at/using a busted tool! I know dang well I'm not the only one that would never throw a broken tool out.

When I bought the Gear Wrench tools, the big selling point was the lifetime warranty.
I had a Gear Wrench ratchet quit working on me.
So, when I went to the web site to file the warranty, all I had to do was type in the model of the ratchet, and take a picture of it.
There was something that said I may have to return the tool, no worries, this one is busted.
A week later, a new ratchet is on the porch and no need to return.
I'll keep buying Gear Wrench Tools as long as they treat me as well as they did.

Who remembers walking into a Sears with broken Craftsman tools and getting a new one with out a receipt?
I've done that at Sears, Ace Hardware, and most recently, Lowe's. Lowe's was reluctant, but after some persistence, I walked out with a new ratchet.
